Leon’rd Loftin to Coll’ll Tho’s Pollock         a Deed of Sale
       Know all men by these p’sents yt I Leonard Loftin of the Precinct of
Chowan in ye Province of N. Carolina Planter for & in consideracon of ye sum
of thirty one pounds sterling money to me in hand paid by Coll’ll Tho’s
Pollock of ye Province afs’d ye receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge &
thereof acquitt & Discharge ye s’d Tho’s Pollock his Heirs Ex’rs &Adm’rs for
ever by these p’sents have Given granted bargained Sold Released & Confirm’d
& by these presents do Give Grant Sell release a& Confirm unto ye s’d Tho’s
Pollock his Heirs and Assigns for Ev All yt my Plantacon or Tract of Land
that I now live on Scituate Lying & being in ye s’d Precinct of Chowan on
South Lancester bounded on ye West Side by Land Lately belonging to Coll’ll
Wilkerson & on East Side by land belonging to Archaballd Mitchell & ye Sound
Side on ye North according to ye Patent Granted for ye Same together w’th
all Houses woods ways waters Easm’ts Priviledges Profits & Comodities & all
and Singular ye appurtenances to ye Same belonging or in anrwise
appertaining & ye reversions and Reversions Remainders & Remainders thereof
       To Have and to hold ye said Plantacon or tract of land with all &
Singular the appurtenances unto ye s’d Tho’s Pollock his Heirs & Assigns
forever
       And ye s’d Leonard Loftin for himself his Heirs Exe’rs & Admn’rs doth
Covenant Promise & Grant to and w’th ye s’d Tho’s Pollock his Heirs &
Assigns by these p’sents yt he ye said Leonard Loftin his Heirs Ex’rs & Adm’
rs ye afore bargained premises with ye appurtenances unto ye s’d Tho’s
Pollock & his &Assigns & will warrant & forever by these presents Defend
        In witness whereof I ye s’d Leonard Loftin have hereunto Sett my
hand & seal the 4th day of Aprill 1715
