You are to lay out to Wm Bush 500 Acres of Land being due and Observing etc 
Given etc this 9th day of Aprile 1716

His Excell'y the Hon'ble John Ld. Carteret  Pallatine. etc. To all to whom be 
Know yee etc. According to ye Great Deed  Doe hereby Give and Grant. unto 
William Bush of said County a Tract of Land conteyning 500 Acres lyeing in 
Chowan p'cinct beginning at ye Center of 3 pines Francis Mac Clendens Corner 
tree then No 40d W'st 106 pole to a Gum on ye W'st side of ye Holly Branch yn 
up the meanders of ye Branch to a white oake formerly a corner Tree of Michael 
Hills then No 61d  W'st 340 pole to a pine of ye mirey Branch yn up ye said 
Branch various coursese to a marked pine ye No. 75d E'st 420 pole to ye First 
Station, being due W.

To have and to hold etc. Except etc. unto the said Wm Bush his Heires and 
Assigns Forever in as large and ample manner etc. Yielding and Paying etc 
yearly etc. the Fee rent of one Shilling for every Fifty Acres to be held etc. 
provide etc. Given etc. this 19th day of  Octo'br 1716.
