MARTIN TO THE HONORABLE BRIG. GENERAL GREGORY. [From Executive Letter Book.] BRIGADE ORDERS FOR EDENTON DISTRICTS. Hillsborough, May 17th, 1783. Brigadier General Gregory will pursue the Resolution of the General Assembly held at Hillsborough of the 14th of May, 1783, respecting a Court Martial from the Brigade to be held on the Conduct of Colonel James Blount of the Chowan Regiment of Militia. That they enquire into the charges against him, as stated in the proceedings of a Court Martial late held on his Conduct, and into other charges which may be exhibited against him; and that they report their proceedings, opinion & sentence pursuant to the said resolution, transmitted to them herewith together with the proceedings of the said late Court Martial.
