Edenton Gazette  Friday,  Oct. 12, 1810 October 12, 1810
                     
  CAPT. CHARLES BISSELL, of Edenton, who arrived here on Wednesday evening in 
the stage from Norfolk, informs that in the late Hurricane at Port-Maria, 
Jamaica, the brig “Susannah,” of this port, of which he was Master, was cast 
away -- the cargo, consisting of  Rum, was saved. We understand she was 
insured.
