C. on the 13th day of October 1862, a negro man ELLICK, who says he belongs to DAVID HOLLY of Chowan County, N.C. and was hired to work on the Piedmont Railroad. Said boy is medium in height, very black, aged 18 to 20 years , square built, and has large scar under his right eye. The owner is hereby requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges and take him away, or he will be dealt with according to law. WILLIAM H.
