                                $20 REWARD
                                DESERTED 
   From the Barracks of Tarboro', in November  last, GEORGE MEREDITH, born in 
Chowan County, aged 20 years, five  feet eight and 1/2 inches high, dark 
complextion, black  eyes and dark hair. 
   Twenty Dollars reward will be given for apprehending the above soldier and 
delivering to some office in the U.S. Service, and all reasonable expenses 
paid. All masters of vessels are forewarned of harboring said deserters.
