The Edenton Gazette  Jan. 2, 1830 January 2, 1830
  -- We understand that the store of MR. DAVID PICKARD of Chowan County, with 
a quantity of goods and other articles, were entirely consumed by fire, on 
Sunday night last. It is supposed to be the act of an incendiary.
