-- We understand that a Match Race is to be run on Thursday, the 17th inst. in 
Chowan County, on the road leading from BAKER HOSKINS to JOS. B. SKINNER'S 
between THOMAS B. HAUGHTON'S bay horse, a Sir Archie colt, and BENJAMIN 
WHITE'S bay gelding -- one mile heat -- Purse, $400. It is supposed there will 
be other horses ont he track to run, and those who are fond of this kind of 
sporting may calculate on some fun!
