Island) a certain DANIEL SALISBURY, Master and part owner of the Sloop Lydia of Warren, who left this place on the 13th instant, taking with him upwards of $500 in gold and silver, belonging to the subscribers. We are informed, that after he arrived at Plymouth, he made no application for a freight, but took himself off from thence, it is supposed, for Washington, as he was seen on the road in company with a blacksmith, 20 miles from Plymouth.-- The said SALISBURY is about five feet eight or nine inches high, tolerably well set, stoops in his shoulders very much, red face, drinks pretty freely at times, has a scar on one of his cheeks, occasioned by a wound from a splinter, and is about 30 years of age. It is supposed he will make for Charleston, (S.C.). Masters of vessels and others, would do an act of justice to their country, by refusing him a conveyance from one port to another, as he may, by that means, be brought to justice. The said SALISBURY is indebted to us more than his part of the Sloop amounts to.
