Edenton Gazette, Tues., Dec. 10, 1811
   DIED, on the 5th October in Point-Petre, Guadaloupe, MR. THOMAS CARPENTER, 
only son of the late CAPT. STEPHEN CARPENTER, of Edenton. He went out for the 
benefit of his health in the schooner "Patsey and Penelope," BENJAMIN WHEDBEE, 
Master, and fell a victim to the ravages of yellow fever.
