HENRY CALEB GOODWIN, JR.

  FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Henry Caleb Goodwin, Jr., 72, will be held 
today, April 18, at 11 a.m. in Beaver Hill cemetery, Edenton, N.C.

  The Rev. Robert Gray and Rev. Rudolph Kidd will officiate, with McDowell 
Funeral Home, Boykins, in charge.

  Pallbearers will be Raymond L. Porter, Marvin M. Revelle, Garland A. Duck, 
Russell S. Revelle, Walter Gray and Henry E. Bradshaw.

  Goodwin of 569 Ashton St. died Tuesday afternoon in Southampton Memorial 
Hospital.

  A native of Chowan County, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Virginia Powell 
Goodwin.

  He was a retired farmer and a member of High Street United Methodist Church.

  Besides his widow, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Ellen Skiles of 
Bules Creek, N.C.; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Byrum Goodwin of Edenton, N.C.; 
two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Warden of Casey Key, Fla. and Mrs. Mary Sewell of 
Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, J. Wallace Goodwin and David K. Goodwin of 
Edenton, N.C. and Carroll C. Goodwin of Indianapolis, Ind.; and one 
granddaughter.
