Edenton Gazette, Tues., Nov. 5, 1811
   DIED, on Thuesday evening last, in the 52nd year of his age, regretted by 
all who knew him, ELISHA NORFLEET, ESQ., for many years Clerk of the County 
Court of Chowan. He has left a numerous family and a large circle of 
acquaintance to bewail his loss.
