MR. SLADE had removed about a month ago from Edenton, intending to fix his regular residence at that place. It pleased the all-wise disposer of events to order it otherwise. He has left a family of children, all females, to lament the loss of their only parent -- MRS. SLADE having died a few weeks before his removal. MR. SLADE served in the revolutionary contest, and was a firm friend of the Republican institution of his country. It was late before he commenced the study of law. He, not withstanding, sustained a very respectable standing at the bar, and was esteemed a man of great probity. The deceased, being a Freemason, was interred with Masonic honors. The Brethen of the Unanimity Lodge, of which MR. SLADE was a member, are directed to wear as a badge of mourning, a blue ribbon on their left breast, as a testimony of the respect they bear his memory.
