I Elisabeth Evans of the County of Chowan and the state of North Carolina being weak in body but of perfect sound mind and disposing memory thanks be to god for the same do ordain constitute and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following ----------------- Vizt Item-I give and bequeath unto my son Cornelius Azbill one featherbed and furniture first choice, two pewter dishes, two pewter basons, one iron pot and hooks, one tea kettle and one gridle, six chairs, one pair side ?Ivers? one linen wheal, one coffee pot, six pewter spoons, one cow and heifer to him and his heirs forever Item-I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Mary Ann Elizabeth Azbill one new linen wheal to she her heirs forever Item-I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elisabeth Evans one pewter dish to she her heirs forever Item-I give and bequeath unto my son-in-law William Mitchell five shillings in money to be paid out of my estate to him and his heirs forever Item-It is my will and desire that all the remainder of my estate should be sold and equally divide between my children to wit Mary Elliott, Judith Forehand, James Azbill, Elisabeth Evans, Rachel Griffin, and Cornelius Azbill to them and their heirs forever Lastly-I nominate and appoint my son Cornelius Azbill my executor to this my last will and testament September 23rd, 1822 Witness Signed with her mark James Byrum Elisabeth Azbill Proved 1827 December term ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
