     To all to whom these presents shall
be read heard or understood know ye that I Joshua Deal 
of ye province of North Carolina and County of Chowan 
being of perfect memory and sound judgement Doe make 
and ordain this to be my last will and Testament in 
maner and forme as followeth~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    It is my will and desire that all of my just Debt and 
funeral Expenses bee paid by my Executor 
hereafter named~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    It is my will and desire that any Grand Son Joshua 
Roberd should have the use of fifty acres of  my 
Land Lying Next to Patrick Heckiel During his 
and his wife Miriams Life~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    I give and bequeath to my Daughter Allesean 
Roberd my weavers Loam and all the gear 
belonging thereto to hav and and her heirs forever~~~~~~~

Item    I give and bequeath to my son Joshua Deal any 
Rasor and hone to him and his heirs forever~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Roberd 
my Desk to her and her heirs forever~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    I give to my grand Daughter Ruth McClaland 
one small puter Dish to her and her heirs forever~~~~~~~

Item    I give and bequeath to my wife Maryan Deal one 
feather bed and furniture and two Large puter 
Dishes and Six Spoons and one Chest to 
her and her heirs forever~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    It is my will and Desire that my wife Maryan
Deal have the uce of of the Remaining Part  of my
Land and the plantation and all the Remaining
part of my Estate not yet mentioned During
her Natural Life or widowhood~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    I give and bequeath to my grand Son John Deal
all my Land and plantation after the widowhood
or Death of my wife Maryan and the Death
of Joshua Roberd and his wife Miriam, to him
and his heirs forever ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item    I give and bequeath to my Daughter Allesean Roberd 
one year old Cow and after the widowhood or Death
of my wife Maryan, to her and her heirs forever

Item    I give all the Remaining part of my Estate
that Shall Remain after the widowhood or Death
of my wife Maryan to be Equally Divided
between my two grand Children John Roberd
and Anne Deal to them and their heirs forever

Item    I Constitute nominate and apoint my wife
Maryan Deal my Executrix and Joseph White
my Executor to see this my last will and
Testament full filled, and I doe hereby revoke
all other wills by me made, Confirming
this and no other to be my last will and
Testament in manner and form as above said
For Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my
hand and fixt my Seal this twenty first day
of December in the year 1772
