Deeds This Indenture made the 12th day of January, in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty between E. F. Willis of Bond County and State of Illinois and E.D. Dickson and wife of E.D. Dickson of the County of Cleaveland and State of North Carolina of the first part and S. R. P. Glen of the County of Cleaveland and State of North Carolina of hte second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and sixty nine dollars in hand paid by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained, sold, Conveyed and Confirmed, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell, and convey, and confirm unto the party of the second part his heirs, and assigns forever, all the following, described pieces or parcel of land, lying and being in the waters of Buffalo Maple Creek, and known and designated as follows: namely adjoining lands of F. J. Wilson, John Lewis, John W. Nowlin and others, bounded as follows: Begnning at a Post Oak, B. Velfs? corner, and runs thence, N 12 W 92 poles, to a stone pile thence N 47 E 80 poles to a hickory, thence S 31 1/2 W 31 poles to post oak, thence S 77 1/2 E 60 1/4 poles to a stake and jointiers where spanish oak stood, thence N 11 E 6 1/2 poles to a stake, near the branch, thence S 45 E 15 poles to a maple near a large rock, thence S 67 E 53 poles to a poplar, thence north 45 poles to a post oak thence N 20 W52 poles to a stake where the post oak stood, thence N 20 E 16 poles to a post oak thence N 58 W 72 poles to a stake and pointers, thence S 5 E 8 1/2 poles to a satake and pointers, Basel Velf's corner, thence with his line N 45 W 94 poles to the beginning, containing by estimation acres more or less To have and to hold the same with the appurtanances thereunto belonging to the said S. R. P. Glenn, the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said party of the first part, for the consideration aforesaid, do hereby covenant, and agree to warrent and defend the premises aforesaid to the party of the second part his heirs executors, administrators, and assigns againast the claim of all persons whatsoever, and they do further covenant that they lived of the premises in fee simple and have power to make and convey such an estate by this deed and have done the same by these presents to the said S.R.P.
