CLEVELAND COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Emily Sullins Bayliss, 7 Jun 2004

SHELBY - Emily Sullins Bayliss, 77, formerly of Mitchell County, 
died Monday, June 7, 2004. She was the daughter of the late James 
Herbert and Anne Cook Sullins, and wife of the late Robert Dean 
Bayliss. She was also preceded in death by two brother, James and 
Roland Sullins. She was a registered nurse and worked as a nursing 
supervisor at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. She was 
an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, the Bayliss 
Fellowship Class and United Methodist Women.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Crawford of Winston-Salem, and 
Anne Bayliss of Charlotte; a son, Robert D. Bayliss Jr. of Greenville; 
three sisters, Lucille Hovis of Boone, Wanda Thomas of Burnsville, 
and Carolyn Robinson of Spruce Pine; and several nieces and nephews. 
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Aldersgate United 
Methodist Church. The family received friends following the service.
