Aug30 1969 - Shelby Star
J.M. Dyer GILKEY - James Matt Dyer 72 died at 3 a.m. Friday at Oteen Hospital. 
A native of Polk County. He was a retired farmer. His parents were John and 
Ella Griffin Dyer.Surviving are two brothers Sam Dyer and Ancie L. Dyer of 
Shelby; four sisters. Mrs Tillman Tyner, Mrs. Corene Bridges, Mrs. Leola Hoyle 
andMrs. Ollie Mae Walker, all of Shelby.                        
Dyer was aveteran of WWI and a member of Mt. Paron Baptist Church and Woodmen 
ofthe World.                                               
Funeral serviceswill be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Lutz-Austell Chapel. The 
Rev. N.G.Lemmons and the Rev B.L. Queene will officate. Burial will follow in 
ZoarBaptist Church.                               
The body will remain atLutz-Austell Funeral Home where the family will receive 
freinds from 7 until 9 tonight.
