CLEVELAND COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - John Dyer, 27 Aug 1941

JOHN DYER, 82 Taken By Death - John Dyer; 82-year-old well known Cleveland 
farmer, died at Shelby hospital at 12:20 o'clock last night following a 
serious illness of three weeks and a three-year decline. Funeral services will 
be on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Zoar Baptist Church South of Shelby. He was a 
member of that church for many years. Interment will be at the cemetery there. 
Dr. Zeno Wall of Shelby will be in charge of the final rites.                               
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella Griffin Dyer and the following 
children; Mrs. Eliza Turner, Carl, Lawrence, Ansie, Sam, Lela, Ollie Mae and 
Coleen Dyer, all of this county and Jim Dyer of Rutherford County.
