Mrs. J.P. Griffin Dies At Age 93                                 
    Mrs. J.P. Griffin, better known as "Grandma Griffin" to large numbers of 
friends and relatives in the county and one of the county's oldest residents, 
died last night at the age of 93.                     
    Death came at 10:30 at the home of her youngest daughter, Mrs. W. D. 
Hardin of Mt. Sinai community. She had been ill only a week with pneumonia.
    Funeral Services will be held at Sulphur Springs Methodist Church on 
Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock with Pastor, Rev. J.N. Wise in charge assisted 
by Rev. L.W. Swope of Earl and Rev. J.L. Jenkins of Boiling Springs.
    Her husband the late J.P. Griffin, a veteran of the Civil War died 30 
years ago.
