The Raleigh Standard, Aug. 31, 1859
  DIED, in Shelby, Cleveland County, on the 24th instant, the REV. W. I. 
LANGDON, President of the Female School of High Point. MR. LANGDON was a 
native of Beaufort, Carteret County. He was a well-known minister of the 
Methodist Episcopal Church, but had devoted himself for many years to the 
education of young ladies. His health had been feeble for several years.
