C. farmer, being week in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordained this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the descretion of my Executor nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly estate wherewith it pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of in the following manner and form I give and bequeath to Mary Magdalene Whisnant my dearly beloved wife all my household and kitchen furniture beds and beding of every description also as touching the Balance of the property that I may die seized and possessed of, it is my wish and desire that it shall be sold by my Executor at a twelve months credit and the money arising from said sale and all the money on hand, if any to be divided between my daughter Elizabeth Hass and my granddaughter Elizabeth Price that is to say Elizabeth Hass two thirds and Elizabeth Price one third after all my just debts and burial charges are paid. I also make and appoint my son John Whisnant my sole Executor to this my last will and testament and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and any other former testament wills legacis bequeaths and Executors by me made as before named will and bequeathed and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in writing whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of August A.D. 1845.
