Columbus County - Solomon Harrelson Est to Haynes Harrelson et al This is to certify that we the undersigned citizens of the County of Columbus and State of North Carolina having been duly appointed by the Court and legally qualified as Commissioners in order to make a division of the lands of Solomon Harrellson (deceased) did on the fourth and fifth days of April AD 1872 proceed to lay off and allot he said lands of the said Harrelson as follows, viz. Lot No 1 begins at a stake in the __ of the widow Elizabeth Harrellson's dower 12 chains from E. H. Todd's Mill Pond and runs N 5 degrees E 12 chs to a stake in the south edge of the said Mill Pond. Thence with the said pond to a maple tree in the mouth of a small branch thence up said Branch with E. H. Todd's lines S 27 degrees W 15 chains to a large pine near a small bay. Thence South 84 degrees W 4 chains to a large gum in the Long Savannah Branch, thence up said Branch to the second angle. Thence N 85 E to the beginning containing fifty six acres. Valued at seven dollars was drawn by Haynes Harrelson Lot No 2 begins at the beginning corner of Lot No 1 and runs South 85 degrees W to the second angle of the Long Savannah Branch, then with the said Branch to its third angle, then south 86 degrees east to the South West corner of the Widow's dower, thence with her line north 5 degrees to the beginning containing fifty six acres valued at twenty two and 40/100 dollas was drawn by John Stewart and wife Rebecca Stewart. Lot No 3 begins at the fourth corner of Lot No 2 and runs with Lot north 86 degrees W to the third corner of Lot No 3 and thence with the Long Savannah Branch to the fourth angle, thence, North 79 degrees E to another corner of the Widow's dower. Then North 25 degrees W twenty chains to the beginning containing fifty nine acres, valued at twenty nine and 50/100 dollars was drawn by J J Harrellson Lot No 4 begins at the beginning Viz: the fourth corner of Lot No 3 and runs with said Lot south 99 degrees W to the 3rd corner of Lot No 3 and thence up the Long Savannah Branch to its head, Benjamin Harrellson's corner, North 47 degrees E to the beginning containing fifty six acres valued at twenty eight dollars, was drawn by Moses J. Harrelson Lot No 5 begins at the 4th corner of Lot No 4 and runs with it South 47 degrees W to its third corner, thence south 63 degrees E 18 chs to a stake thence East 14 1/2 chs to a stone, thence North 5 degrees E to the beginning containing sixty acres valued at forty five dollars was drawn by Delila C. Harrellson. Lot No 6 begins at the beginning corner of Lot No 5 and runs with it to its fourth corner. Thence South 60 degrees E - 12 chs to a stake, thence North 50 degrees East 34 chains to a stake, L. C. Mills corner, thence due West to the last line of Lot No 5 to a stake. Containing fifty three acres, valued at Six and 6 and 62/100 dollars, was drawn by William Keiter and wife Mary A. Reiter. Lot No 7 begins at a stake L.C. Mills corner and runs with the last line of Lot No 6 due west to a stake the beginning corner of said Lot and thence North 5 E to the beginning corner of Lot No 5, thence south 53 degrees E 13 chs to a stake, thence South 63 degrees E 12 1/2 chs to a stake thence south 45 degrees W 7 1/2 chs to a stake, thence South 46 degrees E 24 chs to the beginning containing fifty three acres valued at fifty three dollars was drawn by William White and wife Lucy J White. Lot No 8 begins at a large gum in the run of Cowhide Branch and runs up said branch 13 ch to a stake, thence East to a stone in the East line of a one hundred acre survey, thence south 13 chains to a stone, thence to the beginning containing 38 1/3 acres, valued at four and 69/100 dollars was drawn by Dorcas Harrelson Lot No 9 begins at a stake in Cowhide Branch the second corner of the Lot No 8 and runs with said Lot East to a stake its 3rd corner, thence north 12 chains to a stake, thence west to a stake in Cowhide Branch, thence down the said Branch to the beginning containing 38 1/3 acres, valued at nineteen and 16 66/100 dollars was drawn by Almira Harrelson Lot No 10 begins at the 4th corner of Lot No 9 and runs with said lot East to its 3rd corner and thence around the __of an old plot North about 3 chs to a stake, thence N 64 degrees W 24 chs to a pine, thence West 11 1/2 chs to Cowhide, thence to the beginning, containing 38 1/3 acres valued at nineteen and 16/100 dollars was drawn by Joshua Harrellson as will be seen in the certificate of survey partitioned and valued on the 4th and 5th days of April AD 1872.
