Private with Co. G, 51st Regiment North Carolina Infantry (State Troops).  
Enlisted at Wilmington on 15 May 1862 (Page 2).

Present through Jul/Aug 1863 (Pages 3 through 9).

Absent, sick at Charleston Hospital since 27 Sep 1863 (Page 10).

Absent, sick in Columbus County (Page 11).

Died Columbus County, North Carolina, Jan 1864 (Page 12).





Additional Comments:
Jesse Inman was probably living in Robeson County when he enlisted.  His widow, 
Rhoda (McColskey) Inman was born in Columbus County, and apparently returned 
there after he went to war.  In 1870, she was living next door to her parents 
there.  She applied for a widows pension in Jul 1885.
