Compiled Service Record
Enlisted 2 May 1864 as a private with Callihan's 8th North Carolina Senior 
Reserves.  Born January 1818 in Columbus, North Carolina.  Described as 5'10" 
tall, with dark hair, eyes and complexion; occupation farmer (Page 2). 

Additional Comments:
George Parker McColskey, son of James McColskey and Elizabeth Parker.  Referred 
to by this name in the will of his grandfather, James Parker.  Shown in one 
census as George P., in another as G. W. (presumably George W.), but mostly 
just as George McColskey.  Died in about August 1889; his will abstract is in 
the Columbus County USGW archives.
