Confederate Veteran Passes

   Mr. Bullard, an aged Confederate veteran, died in Raleigh Friday.  His 
remains arrived on the morning train Saturday and were carried to Western 
Prong church, where the funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon by 
the pastor, Rev. S. N. Watson.  Mr. Bullard leaves several children who live 
in the Western Prong community.

Note:  Western Prong Church and Community is located in the north central part 
of Columbus Co NC.  SAW
