Mrs. Mortie Prevatte

   Mrs. Mortie Walters Prevatte, 72, of Whiteville, died Monday. Graveside 
rites were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from Whiteville Memorial Cemetery by the 
Rev. R. C. Foster and Dr. Francis Chesson.
   Survivors include her husband, Danny Eugene Prevatte; three brothers, 
Hartford and Gordon Walters, both of Bladenboro and Grover Walters of 
Whiteville; and a sister, Mrs, Florida Noblin of Clarkton.

From the contributor: Mortie Cornelia Walters was born Nov 4, 1889 in Robeson 
County, NC and died Apr 6, 1964 in Cumberland County, NC. 
She was the daughter of William Walters and Nellie Rhodes. She was to married 
Daniel Eugene Prevatte.
