Emerson Resident Called To Reward
     Death on last Friday morning claimed the life of Isham Soles, 80-year-old 
resident of the Emerson section near Tabor.  He had been in failing health for 
a long time before his demise.
     The deceased is survived by four sons; Lawrence, Wingate, Calvin, Morgan, 
and Oscar Soles, all of the Emerson section.  His wife preceded him to the 
grave several years ago.
     He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.  Burial services were 
conducted Saturday afternoon from the home by the pastor of the deceased, and 
interment made in the family cemetery.

He is buried at the Hinson Cemetery, Tabor City, Columbus Co, NC.
