MONROE SOLES
     TABOR CITY - Monroe Soles, 46, of Chadbourn, died Saturday night in 
Columbus County Hospital, Whiteville.  He was a sander employed by the 
Chadbourn Veneer Co.  Final rites were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Beaverdam 
Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Boyd Williamson, with burial in Forest 
Lawn Cemetery.
     Survivors incolude his wife, Mrs. Eunice Soles; four brothers, Wilmer and 
Allan Soles of Chadbourn, Clayton and Tilmer Soles of Whiteville, three 
sisters, Mrs. Dollie Duncan and Mrs. Edna Mae Spivey of Whiteville, Route 3 
and Mrs. Dorothy Hathway of Tabor City.
