ROBESONIAN: 11 AUG 1942

MRS. ANNIE C. MANNING

Whiteville, Aug, 11.  Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Caldonia Manning, 66, of
Whiteville, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. A. Walker at 5 o'clock
Sunday morning at the Lebonan Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev.
N. P. Edens, the pastor, in charge.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Manning had been in failing health for the past several years. Death was
attributed to a stroke which she suffered six weeks ago.

Surviving are five sons and two daughters.  Chester Manning, Jim Manning of
Tabor City, Gold and Henry Manning of Wilmington, and Glenn Manning of Rocky
Mount, Mrs. Ruth Norris of Lumberton, and Mrs. D. A. Walker of Whiteville.  Also
surviving are a number of Grand Children.

Daughter of Abijah Holland Tompkins and Leanna Duncan.

Shelley, Chester Holland, Lonnie Glenn and Emily Jean Manning.

Maternal Great Grandmother of the contributor; Robert Terrell Johnson
