James McColskey will abstract

Written: 9 Jun 1870

Probated: c1870 according to North Carolina Wills: A Testator Index 1665-1900 
by Thornton Mitchell

To my wife Elizabeth: lands, appurtenances, situated on what is described as 
the Parker lands, and the farm whereon I now live, for her natural life.

To my grandson James Robert McColskey, the same land, after Elizabeth's death.

My personal estate to be equally divided between wife Elizabeth and grandson 
James Robert McColskey.

To my son Cornelius McColskey and my [daughter] Rhoda A. P. Inman, all my 
Reynolds land to be equally divided between them.

To my son George McColskey five dollars.

To my grandson Alligood McColskey five dollars.

Executor: Haynes Lennon

Witnesses: Haynes Lennon, A.(or H.) B. Colger



Additional Comments:
James McColskey's wife, Elizabeth, was the daughter of George Parker, whose 
will was probated in 1861 in Columbus County.  Elizabeth was likely the sister 
of James Parker, whose will was probated in Columbus in 1885.
