K. Fields to the Clerk Superior Court Columbus County In Superior Court Sept 7 1885 The application of Jas. R. McColskey and ["Jas R Fields" is lined out] respectfully showeth: I. That he is the executor to the last will and testament of James Parker decd II. That the said James Parker deceased died on the 15th day of August 1885, leaving no other executors or last will and testament as he is informed and believes. III. That the said testator died seized and possessed of the following property to wit: eight hogs, one set blacksmith tools, household and kitchen furniture, farming tools, mechanics tools, meal, lard, corn fodder and other field products, one mortgage for fi[f]ty dollars, rents and c [etc?] all of which valued at about two hundred and forty five dollars Also two tracts of land, one lying in Columbus County containing aobut four [img 8] hundred and thirty seven acres, and one in Robeson county containing about sixty three acres, and both valued at about nine hundred dollars IV. That the names and residences of all parties entitled to the testators property are as follows: ["Nancy Parker widow of said testator now resides in" lined out] Everett Parker resident of the county of Robeson, Mary Jane Gaines and husband Memory Gaines residents of the county of Robeson, Nancy Ellen Sutton and husband Benj. Sutton residents of the county of Robeson, Elizabeth Delight Britt and husband Kenneth Britt, - Margarett Ann Stone and husband John I. Stone residents of Robeson county, the children of George W. Parker to wit: G.F. Parker, Susan who intermarried with Ferdinand Williamson, residents of Columbus county. Richard Florence Parker resident of the county of Robeson. Nancy Ann Parker who intermarried with Dick Britt resident of Robeson County. J.W. Parker resident of Columbus county. Personally appeared before me W.M. Baldwin [img 9] clerk of the Superior Court for Columbus Jas. R. McColsken (sic) who being duly sworn says that the facts set forth in this affidavit are true according to the best of his knowledge, information and belief.
