Witnesses: Eliza KOONTZ, Susan HARDISON, Harriett KOONTZ, Jane FISHER
Witness statements: E. KOONTZ says she came down here this morning to get a 
tin bucket of water and saw the baby lying out there. Went home and got her 
sister. HARDISON says she came down and saw the baby lying where it is now. H. 
KOONTZ and FISHER say the same as HARDISON.
Inquest verdict: The child was thrown into the water (and drowned) by some 
person or persons unknown.
