HUTCH Witness statements: STANLEY say that she went out last night about 8:00, and she was complaining of pain in the head & side. Came home about 11:00 and took a dose of medicine: 1 tsp of spirits of lavender. She complained of shortness of breath. STANLEY went to bed and left her up. When STANLEY called her at 7:00 this morning, she found her dead, lying on the floor. RICHARDSON says that living in the neighborhood, she had often heard her complain of misery in her side and head. WHITFIELD says BRYAN was at her house last night and was complaining of misery in side and head; she left to go home about 11:00. HUTCH says BRYAN was at his house the night before, complaining of misery in her side and head. She left about 8:00 to go home. She had been to see a sick brother. Inquest verdict: Inquest held 9 Sept 1882. Came to her death from heart disease.
