The Petition of William HEATH Humbly Sheath, That where as your Petitioner has been sometime confined in the Goal of sd. County on Supposition of being an Enemy to this State in the Present Dispute between Britain & Amirica. Your Petitioner being Concious of having done nothing with an Intention or Desire to Injure this State or the American Cause in any respect, and being Desirous to return to his Family; Is inhales you will take his Case into your wise consideration & Permit him to have a Tryal as Quick as possible, as he may have it in his Power to acquit himself and convince his acquaintances he is & will be as Loyal and as Good a Subject as any belonging to the United States.
