(signed) Stephen Harris, Sheriff Frederick Dew qualify as to execute the within before as this 12 May 1801 (signed) John I Nelson (seal) (signed) Henry Carraway State of North Carolina Craven County Court June Term 1802 On recording the petition of Thomas Patridge setting forth that he is entitled to one half of two thirds of the lot N 28 in new line devised by John Benners to him and to Lucas Benners after the death of Elizabeth Howard, and the said Elizabeth consenting to have the same divided between the said Thomas & Lucas and praying that commipsioners may be appointed for that purpose. Wherefore, ordered that sd William Good William Shepard, John Oliver William Johnston & Joseph Sheets be appointed commifsioners & lay off divide and appropriate the said two thirds of a lot between the said deceies and make return thereof to the Sept term of this Court.
