Name of deceased: "Yellow man name unknown"
DOD: 17 Jan 1870 (date body found)
Witnesses: John HOLLIS
Witness statements: Witness HOLLIS stated that he found the body floating 
yesterday; does not know the body, but thinks it must be the body of the man 
who stole the boat at New Berne about Christmas; the boat was found off here 
with her mast gone with a boot and hat in the boat. Does not know of anyone 
being missed.
Inquest verdict: Inquest held at the northwest point on the Neuse River. 
Verdict: Came to his death by accidentally falling into the river and getting 
drowned. Name to this jury not known.
