Witnesses: Geo THOMAS
Witness statements: THOMAS states he was coming along the road [Bay River Rd] 
about 11:00 in the morning, and it was raining hard, and he had his head down. 
He came upon this man lying in the road, and he was dead. Did not touch him, 
but went right away and told Mr. LATHAM.
Inquest verdict: Inquest held at a place on Bay River Road near John MORRIS & 
S.W. LATHAM on 10 Jan 1883. Came to his death from exposure and exhaustion.
