SLADE says he found him in his field this morning. Heard him bellow about moondown or 9:00. Heard him say "gee whoa" "Come out of this," etc. Did not go out. When went out this morning, saw his fence down and went to put it up, and found him lying dead. "I don't know him or nothing about him." W. SLADE says she heard her husband say this morning that there was a dead man in the field. Other witnesses all say they the same as W. SLADE. Inquest verdict: Inquest held 15 Dec 1882. Came to his death from undue exposure and exhaustion.
