Witnesses: W. N. RUSS, C. F. HARGATE, Henry BRINSON, _____ HILL
Witness statements: RUSS states that he knew the deceased who lived with Mrs. 
HARGATE on Pollock St. He saw her alive 3 weeks ago at the Cemetery. He has 
known her 20 years. He heard she was losing her mind. Other witnesses all 
corroborate this testimony.
Inquest verdict: Inquest held at New Bern on above date. Deceased came to her 
death by accidental drowning.
