Stephen Harris Sheriff of Craven County to hence by depletive Friend

To the Worshipful the Justices of the County Court of Please and 
Quarter pinions

The petition of Thomas Partridge begs leave to represent to your 
worships that John Benners late of this county deceased by his last 
will and testament divided two thirds of a lot (N 21) lying and being 
in Front Street n the Town of Newbern to be equality divided between 
your petitioner and Lucas Benners after the death of Elizabeth Howard 
to whom the said lot was diviseds during her life. He further states 
that Elizabeth Howard his Mother is derrieres his part of said lot 
should now laid of and apportioned to him he therefore prays your 
worships will appoint five commipioners as the act of apembly in that 
case made and provided directs to lay of to him his proportion and part 
of said lot & he is an duty bound will ever pray.
