MUMFORD went to her room on Friday to "straten" up, and found the baby under the iron bedstead in a "Shampane" basket. MUMFORD stated WEATHERFORD came down last spring on Friday evening & said she had an "Ager". She came down on Saturday but she was sick for a week & has not been sick since. MUMFORD thought she was in a "Delecet" state, but she said she was not. MUMFORD thought she looked "smoller" when she got up than she did when she went to bed. Inquest verdict: Inquest held 4 April 1872. Verdict: Believe it to be the body of a child born nearly one year ago, and that it was the child of Mary Ann WEATHERFORD. The body was so decayed that the jury could not come to the cause of its death.
