W. WILLIS testified that B. WILLIS was his half uncle. He was married with 3 children. On 31 Dec., deceased and his brother George WILLIS were said to be in a pilot boat laden with oysters on their way to Trent Bridge to sell them. B. WILLIS stood up in the boat to look out for danger and fell overboard; before assistance could be rendered, he was drowned. W. WILLIS could not identify Benj. WILLIS due to the state of the body, but believes it to be him. O. SALTER had not hesitation in saying this was B. WILLIS's body; saw him and George WILLIS in the pilot boat on the way to sell oysters at Trent Br. Next day heard he was drowned. Verdict: Came to his death by accidental drowning.
