This indenture made on the twenty eight day on April A. D. 1875, between
Nancy M. Adams of the first part and Marietta Brewer of the second part
all of Craven County, North Carolina. Witnesseth that the said party of
the first part in consideration of the natural love and affection she has
for her daughter, the said party of the second part; hath granted,
bargained and conveyed, and by this indenture, doth give and convey unto
the said Marietta Brewer her heirs and assigns a certain tract of land in
Craven County on the North side of Neuse River Bounded as follows:
Beginning at a haw tree on the N. bank of Neuse river just above the
pitch kettle landing and runs N. 38 E to the back line between the Dudley
and White land, then up and with said line to Henry Lane's land known as
the Cattail Swamp or creek and down the same to the beginning, containing
200 acres more or less.
To have and to hold the above describes premises with all the
improvements, privileges and appertenances thereto belonging unto the
said Marietta Brewer her heirs and assigns in fee simple forever. In
testimony whereof the said party of the first part hath hereto set her
hand and seal day and date above written.

State of North Carolina, Craven County, Office of the Superior Court
Clerk, New Bern, N. C. March 20th, 1879. Then was the due and legal
execution of the annexed Deed proven before me, by the oath and
examination of C. R. Brewer, a subscribing witness thereto. Let said Deed
with this certificate be registered. Witness my hand and official seal
