John & Margaret Carraway to John Nelson Junr. 
2 September 1742

North Carolina - Craven County
John & Margaret Carraway of county and province aforesaid to John Nelson Junr. of 
Pasquotank County for the sum of seven hundred pounds current money of the 
province, land containing eight hundred acres in Craven County on the north side 
of Neuse River on the north side of Powells Creek called by the name of hickory 
point whereon Richard Smith formerly lived and now belonging to John Carraway.

Beginning at the head of a little creek and down the creek to a beech at head of 
a branch, down the branch to the Creek and to the mouth thereof. Land formerly 
surveyed for Richard Smith deceased and afterwards patented by William Smith his 
son bearing date the 17th day of April Anno Dom 1724.
