Witnefseth that whereas Judith Tinker late of the County of Craven deceased the mother of the said Elizabeth and Judith by her will duly executed directs that her house and lot in Newbern be sold for the payment of her debts and that the over flow if any be equally divided between her two daughters the said Elizabeth Singleton and Judith Tinker and appointed John S Nelson executor as aforesaid in the execution of her said will hath sold and conveyed unto the said John R Donnell the house and lot divided in said will more them the Indenture witnefseth that the said Elizabeth Singleton & Judith Tinker in consideration and confirmation of said sail and of the sum of sum of five shillings to them in hand paid by the said John R Donnell hath granted bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargin sell and confirm unto the said John R Donnell all that part of a lot land with the buildings apputinanced and improvements formerly owned and occupied by the said Judith Tinker the mother of the said Elizabeth & Judith situated on the North side of Trent Front Street in the Town of Newbern being part of Lot (N19) in the plan of said Town extending thirty two feet on Front Street and running back the whole extent of said Lot (N 19) to have and to hold the said piece of land or part of a lot with all its privileges appurtenances and improvements unto the said John R Donnell his heirs and assigns for ever unto his and them only proper use benefit and behoof forever and the said Elizabeth Singleton & Judith Tinker unto the said John R Donnell his heirs and assigns the above barained premises will warrant and forever defend against the lawfull claim of all persons claiming by through & render under them in witnefs whereof the said Elizabeth Singleton and Judith Tinker have hereunto set their names and seals on the day first above written.
