John R Donnell to John Green

This indenture made and executed this 19th day of February one thousand eight 
hundred and nineteen between John R Donnell of the Town of Newbern and John 
Green (Tailor) of the same place Witnefseth that the said John R Donnell for 
an in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars secured to be 
paid to him hath granted bargained and sold alined enfeoffed, conveyed and 
confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien apsign convey 
and confirm unto him the said John Green a certain piece of land in the Town 
of Newbern being part of lot N three hundred and twenty five in the place of 
said Town on the South side of  Johnston Street. Beginning at the corner of 
the lot sold by St John’s Lodge aforesaid to Gabriel M Rains being forty feet 
six inches thence two hundred and fourteen feet six inches south then East 
forty feet six inches to Gabriel M Rains line, then North with said line to 
the beginning being the piece of land sold by St John’s Lodge No 3 Newbern to 
said John R Donnell as pr deed bearing date the twentieth of February 1819. .

To Have and to Hold the said piece of land unto him the said John Green his 
heirs and apsigns for ever.  And the said John R Donnell for himself and his 
heirs will warrant and forever defend the above bargained premises unto him 
the said John Green his heirs and afsign, against the lawful claim of all 
persons.

In Witnefs whereof the said John R Donnell hath unto set his hand and seal on 
the day and year first above written.

Craven County Court March Term AD 1819

Then was the due and legal execution of the foregoing deed acknowledged by the 
grantor in open Court. Ordered that said Deed be Registered.
