Indenture made February 1, 1744 between Thomas LEWIS and Godfrey Hartsfield 
both of Craven, for 240 pounds land in Craven on the north side of Neuse River 
adjacent to Sandy Run containing 90 acres.

Witnesses: John Giles and John Fishpool
Recorded: Proved in open court by the oath of said John Giles and registered.
