Indenture made May 10, 1773 between Jacob Lewis and Gideon Rice both of 
Craven, for 20 pounds land in Craven on the south side of Bay River and upper 
side of Williams old field adjacent to Tindals patent containing 100 acres.

Witnesses: John Tillman, James Rice and Henry Tillman
