Witnefseth that he the said John R Donnell for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid or decured to be paid before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof he doth herby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold delivered apsigned and transferred & by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien apsign and transfer unto him the said William McKinney the whole estate right with interest and claim which he acquired in and to acertain tenement tract or parcel of land on tortisarn well in the County of Craven aforesaid sold by the sheriff of said County under sundry executions ifwesb against Allen Dubberly & purchased at said sale by the said, John R Donnell at the Court House in the town of Newbern on the sixteen day of March last as by reference to the deed from Reuben Parker Jones the Sheriff of said County to the said John R Donnell bearing date the thirty first day March last will more fully appear. To Have and to Hold the said lands purchased as afore said with all the advantages rights privileges and appurtenance to the same & belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said William McKinney his heirs and apsigns for ever and he the said John R Donnell for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant with the said William Mc Kinney his heirs and apsigns the land & freeover to purchased by him as aforesaid unto the said Will McKinney his heirs and apsigns against the lawfull claim or claims of any persons claiming the same by from thought or made to him the said John R Donnell to warrant & forever defend by these presents.
